Who we are

Jacqueline Harvey (she/they)

Founder, Registered psychologist (BPsychSc(Hons), ANZAED eating disorder credentialed psychologist, MAAPi

Jacqui brings a grounded, compassionate, warm, and authentic energy to their sessions. She is the kind of person that truly values the human and relational element of therapy over anything too manualised or scripted. Jacqui is a great fit if you are after someone who truly cares, isn’t afraid of sitting through discomfort with you, and taking therapy at your pace.

Jacqui is particularly interested in working with clients who:

  • Are highly “therapised” (i.e., not your first therapy rodeo) but are feeling stuck with previous approaches, or that your progress has “stalled”

  • Are exploring or workshopping issues related to neurodivergence (particularly AuDHD - Autism and ADHD), or wondering if you are neurodivergent

  • Are neurodivergent and experiencing life transitions including navigating pregnancy and parenthood

  • Are struggling with eating and body image issues, from restrictive and bingeing behaviours to ARFID traits

  • Have experienced complex and systemic trauma and struggle with dissociation

  • Struggling to manage chronic pain or chronic health issues

  • Exploring aspects of your identity related to sex and / or gender

How we can help

A core difficulty we see people experience is feeling as though their distress isn’t valid. Many people put off going to therapy believing that their problems are “not that bad”, and that “others have it worse off”. While we would argue that everyone can benefit from therapy, there are some specific issues that therapy at Vessel Psychology is particularly interested in supporting.

We might be a good fit if you have been struggling with:

  • Food, eating (restrictive eating, “binge” eating), body image, exercise, or wondering if you might have an eating disorder

  • Going through a significant life transition (starting or ending a relationship, fertility, pregnancy, parenthood) and are neurodivergent

  • Managing health issues, chronic pain, or struggling to be present in your body

  • Constant anxiety, rumination, racing thoughts, overwhelm, sleep issues

  • Low mood, low energy, lack of motivation, feeling sad

  • Gender and sexual identity, and wanting to explore this in a safe, judgement-free zone
